With over 400,000 YouTube views from people watching her blaze the net with her
beautiful voice, this young lady is definitely one to keep your ears open for.
Inkstarzz.com  had the chance to catch up with teen singing sensation Zewdy to
talk about how she was discovered, her record label and what to expect from her in
the future...

Inkstarzz.com: So How are you Zewdy?

Zewdy: I'm good and you?

Inkstarzz.com: I'm good. So, let’s start off at the beginning. Tell us how
you got started with singing.

Zewdy: Well I've always sung, but I used to be shy. Long story short, my father put
in my head that I can't be shy if I wanna do it as a career. So, I had to break out of
it and at that point, I was like 13 or 14. Then after that I would sing at talent shows
and all sorts of events and competitions. Then I started making videos on You Tube
and that's basically how I got discovered.

Inkstarzz.com:  I wanted to ask you about You Tube. When you made your first video, were you expecting
the outcome to be the way it is?

Zewdy: No, I actually wasn't. I found it the easiest way to share my voice with the world. I didn't know how fast or how
many people would view it, but it was really a lot more than I expected and it's really cool.

Inkstarzz.com: What was the first video that you recorded?

Zewdy: The first one, I believe, was Beyonce's "Irreplaceable".

Inkstarzz.com: So how is the support that you're getting from your fans?

Zewdy: It's really good and actually, I've gotten to be more connected with them through Twitter. You can just
directly message your fans and they can reply to you. They show a lot of support and love and requests and
everything. They've been joining my website. I have a website called Zewdy.com.

Inkstarzz.com: How did it feel to record your first song?

Zewdy: It felt really crazy. I've been waiting for this moment my whole life and now that it's happening to me, it's
amazing. Everybody said they like the song and... I don't know. I don't know how to explain it.


















Inkstarzz.com: So Zewdy, if you could use one word to describe Zewdy, what word would it be.

Zewdy: Determined

Inkstarzz.com: So, what can the world expect from Zewdy in the future?

Zewdy: The world can expect a lot of albums and songs for years to come! (Laughs)

Inkstarzz.com:  Tell us about your label situation.

Zewdy: Well, my label is called EN-Treeg Records and they're based in Atlanta,
Georgia. They actually discovered me through You Tube. They discussed things
with my father, back and forth. We started recording and after the second time we
went to Atlanta, we just made it official and signed. Right now we are recording
working on the album, doing photo shoots and showcases for distribution.
Everything is really fun and productive.  

Inkstarzz.com: Well congratulations on everything.
