Promotions will present “ALTER EGO” a red carpet
Halloween affair and the official grand opening of
Posh Lounge (711 Franklin, Downtown Houston),
featuring celebrity photographer Derek Blanks. The
much-anticipated event will be held from 9:00 PM
– 2:00 AM and is sponsored by Cricket Wireless
and Scion.

Riding the buzz of Blanks’ alter-ego photography concept, “ALTER EGO” is an evolution of the
typical Halloween celebration, taking party-goers to the next level of Halloween theatrics by
unleashing their sexier, edgier alter-egos. Attendees will enter via red carpet into a dark and sexy
“alternate reality” featuring hot music from DJ G.T. of KBXX 97.9 The Box, flashing cameras, sexy
hostesses, costumed go-go dancers, a decadent gourmet chocolate candy display from Chocolate
Couture, and images of Blanks’ creative work throughout the venue.

“ALTER EGO” also serves as a platform to showcase Blanks’ latest alter-ego photography.  Known
as the originator of the alter-ego photo concept, Blanks has garnered much attention from his
recent appearance on the hit Bravo TV sensation Real Housewives of Atlanta and has also shot
celebrity icons such as Usher, Mary J. Blige, Akon, Ciara, Common, Angela Bassett, Jennifer
Hudson, and many others.  The release of his celebrity shoots is a major event in the celebrity
gossip blog world, making him a hot commodity to the stars.

Fusing the exciting elements of celebrity appeal, bold, dramatic atmosphere, and edgy alter-ego
