Inkstarzz.com: What's up? How are you?

Coline:
I'm good. How are you?

Inkstarzz.com: I'm alright. So, let us know how you got started with singing.

Coline:
It's been a long journey. I started off in church. I'd like to give the disclaimer that I'm Catholic, so we don't get
down like the Baptist do in church but we do a lil somethin, somethin! We went to different competitions and stuff like
that through our church. I started off also in a singing group. That's where I really found my passion for music.

Inkstarzz.com: So when did you start writing your first lyrics?

Coline:
You know, it's really funny. I have a book from when I was nine and my two other group members were about
eight- I was the oldest in the group- and we wrote lyrics that were really corny and cheesy. I guess I could say I
started writing around nine or ten. I don't know if it made sense then, but that's when I started.

Inkstarzz.com: (Laughs) Alright, so tell me how you think everything is going in the music industry in
general for the R&B singer.

Coline:
I feel like the industry is hard right now. Definitely, I feel like it's better for the independent artist than it is for
artists that are signed to a label unless you're a priority at a label. It's kinda like a catch-22. If you have that great
buzz, like somebody like Drake where all the labels want you and they can provide for you and different things that
maybe you couldn't do independently, then it's great. If you're an upcoming artist trying to gain a buzz and are super
talented, sometimes it 's better to go the independent route. It's very hard right now, especially with a recession,
people aren't buying records.

Inkstarzz.com: I hear ya. So, you have worked with a lot of artists. How does it feel to be able to work with
so many artists?

Coline:
It feels normal cus I look at them like people. I look at them like I look at my brother and like I look at my
cousins. I look at them like just people that are genuinely talented. It's fun for me.

Inkstarzz.com: Out of all the songs you have written, which one means the
most to you?

Coline:
That's hard. Most of my songs are personal, so it's hard for me to narrow it down to one song. I'd have to
say the song that shocked me the most was "Give and Take" because I wrote that song as a break-up song. It was
like therapy. I had just broken up with a guy, my manager sent me some tracks and was like, "Just write". I had a
glass of wine, I sat in a corner and I just let it out. I didn't ever think that song was gonna amount to what it is. I never
thought it was gonna be a radio song, I just wrote it for therapy. That's the song I can say that shocked me the most.

Inkstarzz.com: Ok, you said that, when writing that song, you had a glass
of wine. Is there something that you usually do to get into your writing
zone?

Coline:
No, It's really funny that you asked me that. My manager is actually mad at
me right now  because he sent me like six really great tracks and, you know,
creativity can't be forced. So, it's very hard for me. Either I have to be going
through something, I have to know somebody who's going through something
or I have to feel something to write a record. It's very hard for me because it has
to be the right track that comes to me. Even if I'm not going through something,
if the track is powerful, it's a no-brainer for me. It's very hard sometimes so, it's
weird. It's just like with a painter or with somebody who writes music or plays the
drums or the piano. It's very hard because creativity is a different side of your
brain. It's hard sometimes but a lot of times, it's therapeutic. It just depends on
the day, I guess.

Inkstarzz.com: So what does Coline bring to the industry?

Coline:
I think that I bring something fresh. I think that I'm a blend of a lot of what
artists are presenting. It's very funny because I get compared to a lot of people
that are already out and I admire those people that I'm compared to, but I feel
like honestly I'm nothing like them. In the sense of maybe my style of music, yes
because I'm very true to R&B. I love R&B, I love ballads, and I love singing my
heart out about things that I'm passionate about. In the same sense, I love to
dance. I love to talk about issues that women don't like to talk about. I talk about, in some of my records, cheating on
men. Women don't talk about that. I touch on topics that sometimes aren't acceptable and I just like to be open and I
think that my records are gonna be something that ladies can relate to and men can relate to. So, I think I bring
something fresh. I think I bring something different.

Inkstarzz.com: If you could name the dream collaboration, any artist or producer of your choice, who
would it be with?

Coline:
Ok, oh this is so hard. Uh, that's really hard for a lot of reasons. I admire a lot of producers. I admire a lot of
songwriters. This is gon sound real crazy but I would love to collaborate with Plies. One thing about him that I love,
on every record, he's real. Whether he's talking bout cheating, whether he's talking about whatever, he keeps it
100%. I would love to do a record with him. Producing-wise, I would love to work with The Dream. I think his records
are hot. I think they're catchy but I also feel that, if you are a singer- singer, he can bring that element and combine it
where it's not super auto-tuned and it's not super commercial. I would love to work with him.

Inkstarzz.com: If you could use one word to describe your singing style
or you as an artist, what would it be?

Coline:
You know, the first word that came to my mind was hot(laughs)! I feel
like, at the end of the day, I work hard. I play hard, but I work hard. I write, I
dance, I sing, I do arrangements. I feel like this is what the industry needs. I
mean, it's a lot of people that do that, but how many people are standing out
doing that? We only have one person really that can do all of it. I'm not gon
say no names cus everybody knows who she is. At the end of the day, it's
room for somebody new to come in. So... hot, that's my word.

Inkstarzz.com: Do you want to leave any contact information for people
to find you?

Coline:
Ok, my MySpace is really long, so yall bear with me. It's
myspace.com/colinecreuzot, same on twitter. I have a YouTube account,
it's youtube.com/creuzotchic. You can find me like that or Google me,
baby(laughs)!

Inkstarzz.com: (Laughs) well thank you for the interview.
